Overall feelings about the race: Going into this race, i had very high expectations and I think I put a little too much pressure on myself. I wanted to finish in the top 3 and coming out of Western Regionals, I felt mentally and physically prepared to do so. However, as seen in the results, the race did not turn out as planned. I stayed within the top 5 throughout the first 2 miles, and going up the hill the second time was where I started to drop back. The lactic acid built up in my muscles and I was so fatigued I kept stumbling up the hill. Although this was a dissapointing race for me, it is definitely something to be learned from and overall I have had an amazing experience here in San Diego.
Best part of the race:  The best part of my race was probably the start. Only kidding. The best part was probably the first 2 miles in general because I maintained my position in the top 5 and tried to stay relaxed.
The FLCC Experience:  This has been such an amazing experience for me and I feel so blessed to be here. I have met so many new people that I know I will stay in touch with for years to come. The Hotel del Coronado is stunning, the food is incredible, and the people are so friendly and accomodating. Everything about this experience has been a joy and all the athletes are treated so well.

Personal note:  I want to first thank my Mom and Dad for their continuous support and inspiration. Without my Dad's coaching and my Mom's emotional support, I would not have accomplished nearly as much as I have. I also want to thank all my friends and teammates for coming to the meet and cheering me on, I couldn't ask for better friends or teammates and it really means so much to me that they were here. Finally, I want to thank God for giving me the gift of running and for His constant presence in my life as an inspirational figure.
