Overall feelings about the race: Well, my race went alright, I am just happy to be around all of these girls. Knowing I am surrounded by elite athelets from all over the U.S, makes the even more excited for the things to come. I now know that I can hang with the best.
Best part of the race:
The best part of my race was definetly the hills. On the first one, I was able to pass alot of girls, and move up from the position I was in. Although I wasn't in the front or even near the middle, I was trying to hang on!
The FLCC Experience:  This experience is AMAZING! I have seriously made seven new best friends! These friendships will remain throughout the upcoming track season and through the future we have in college. I am so amazed and exicted to be here and the west regionals girls are absolutely unbelievably friendly and amazing. Footlocker has been so generous and have gven us anything we could ever want!
I would like to thank ALL of my teammates for being there for me on race day. Since I am originally from San Diego and I live 20 minutes from the course, my high school cross country team was clad in body paint and had enourmous signs at every corner. My fan base was awesome. I want to thank them for believing in me and giving me the extra energy I needed. I would also like to thank my cross country coaches Dale Fleet and Jim McCarthy for taking the four years of my high school career and coaching me to amazing new levels. Thanks to them I have grown as a person and most importantly an athlete. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting me as much as they could. I love you all and thank you so much for helping me be the best I can be!!!!
