Medals will be distributed following each race.
Any runner, whether they are in a public school, home school, boarding school, private school or independent school, must run in the high school Championship Race in order to qualify for the National Finals in San Diego. The top ten (10) finishers in the high school Championship Races will qualify for the National Championship on December 14, 2024 in San Diego, CA.

Age Group Races

All runners will compete in the age group that corresponds with the age he or she will be on December 31, 2024.
9th graders cannot run in the youth race. 9th graders must enter the high school division.

Race Selection

There is no minimum qualifying time. Every high school runner of eligible grade is invited to the Foot Locker Cross Country Championship. Each individual should choose the race best suited to his/her eligibility.
Participants will receive a backpack courtesy of Foot Locker and Hoka while supplies last.

Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, D.C. and U.S. citizens in Overseas Military Installations.
The state where a runner resides determines in which regional meet he/she must participate. Runners must participate in the region to which their state has been assigned. Boarding school students must compete in the region of their school location. Non U.S. citizens who attend high school in the U.S. and who meet the age requirement may compete. Home-schooled students may compete in the region of their residence during the school year.

Medals

The top 30 finishers in all races are awarded medals.
The first ten finishers receive gold medals
The second ten finishers receive silver medals
The third ten finishers receive bronze medals
The top 30 11/12 year olds and top 30 13/14 year olds will race together but awarded separately
Top five men and top five women will receive a medal.
Medals will be dstributed at the awards stage approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of each race.

State Team Awards

The top five boys and top five girls from each individual state will constitute that state's "team." Each individual in the top five state teams will receive a medal. They are selected from the championship races only. Please check the results before leaving the park.

National Qualifiers

The top ten (10) finishers in each of the Championship races qualify for the Foot Locker Cross Country National Finals in San Diego, CA on December 14, 2024.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING BEST OPTION - Park at a satellite MBTA stop and then take the line into the Forest Hills Stop
If you want to park in the city so you can explore after the race, the Copley Place Parking Garage has plenty of spots and is a few minutes walk from the Back Bay T Stop.

If you're trying to time your arrival, please use the weekend schedule and give yourself plenty of time for transfers etc.
We will providing shuttle service every 10 minutes from the Forest Hills T stop to Registration (golf course) and then to the finish line at the park. It will be a continuous loop for the 3 stops.
There is limited parking at Forest Hills.
There is very, very limited parking near the course. We will soon have a map that shows nearby options.
We will have a drop off area for gear etc. at the park.
